Vega Sicilia Unico Reserva Especial I D.O Ribera del Duero

"Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial is a red wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero produced by Bodges y Viñedos Vega Sicilia. This wine is a blend of 3 grape varieties: Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest is carried out following a thorough selection of the grapes. The grapes are then transported to the winery in small boxes, this is to ensure that they do not break nor lose the freshness that characterises them. At the winery, the grapes are destemmed and then macerate at a controlled temperature. The must of Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial obtained then undergoes the first fermentation in various wood and stainless steel containers. Following this, it is aged for 2 years in large wooden tanks that have large capacities. Finally before being bottled, Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial is aged for 18 months in new barrels, followed by another 30 months in used barrels."
